M4400 4 SPEED BATTERY POWERED TARGET CARRIER
The M4400 target carrier has been developed to provide the user with a moving target system that can be easily deployed on a temporary range set up, and is robust enough to be used in a permanent facility indoors or outdoors. The target carrier is powered from two internal 12V 55Ahr battery. The remote control is a standard Militec C9172M range controller. In a permanent set up the target carrier can be controlled using PCShoot computer based range control.
DEPLOYMENT ON A TEMPORARY FACILITY
The deployment of the M4400 could not be easier. The rails for the mover are supplied in 2.0M lengths that slot together so there is no limit to the length of the track. Two limits are used at each end on the track. The first will slow the mover down the second will stop the mover.
The batteries can be easily removed for charging at the end of the shoot.
DEPLOYMENT IN A FIXED FACILITY
The deployment in a fixed facility is the same as above but with the capability of charging the internal battery automatically. The auto charge facility takes the form of an enclosed position at the end of the rails. The command to charge can be sent from the C9172M or by a push button provided on the target carrier. When the message is received the M4400 will move slowly to the charge position where it will dock with the charge contacts. The M4400 can be left at this charge position until it is required.

Deployment of the M4400 system for use
The rails are laid out on a flat surface, preferably a concrete strip. All rails are identical and simply slot together, in hot climates it is recommended that a slight gap between the rails is allowed, 1.0-1.5mm for expansion.
In permanent set-ups, where the rails are intended to remain fixed, concrete fixing bolts would be supplied.
Slow down and Stop magnets are fitted to each end of the track.
The photograph shows the battery compartment lid open. This allows easy access to the two batteries. Connection from the batteries to the unit being via two heavy duty Push fit type connectors.
A quick fit connecting bar enables the trolleys to be easily attached to the traction unit. No tools required.
Similarly each M3200 pop-up target unit is securely located on its trolley.
